DevBeer & I/O Debriefing – 2015-06-09

Since a couple of our  GDG Zürich organizers went to this years edition of Google I/O in San Francisco. We organized this beer to allow you guys to ask any questions about that.

Hoping for good weather, we met at the Reithalle, with the intention of sitting in their beautiful beer garden. The weather gods were against us, so we ended up sitting inside. Turned out really nice. 15 people joined to hang out and chat about Cardboard, Android and lots of other tech topics.

Looking forward to seeing you guys on the next DevBeer.

When developing our own small side projects or parts of larger projects at work, we've all encountered similar issues with development, so why not make use of our awesome community and talk about it! :)

This event is about sharing experiences and meeting like minded people. It is less formal than our other events, in that the idea here is that anyone can present their android projects and have open discussions about them.

If you would like to present your own project, please contact us and let us know. No project or idea is too small to be presented.

This Android Meet & Share is sponsored by ti&m AG.

The meetup is limited to 20 people. To attend please get your ticket here:

Sad news regarding our DevFest

We have decided to cancel the GDG DevFest we had planned on Saturday (22nd November). This decision did not come easily, but we would rather do that, than to organize an event that does not live up to its expectations.

There are a few reasons that we did not get the planning done in time for the event this year: limited time on our side, tight budget for our location, problems finding the right venue but in the end that does not really matter.

But let’s not live in the past, but look into the future. To everyone that has been looking forward to this event, including us, we also have good news: We hope to have learned from this experience and are planning to do a “replacement event” during spring next year. We do not have a concrete date yet, but it will be announced well in advance so we can all plan it in.
