About Google Developer Groups (GDG)

Google Developer Group (GDG) Zürich is group of people interested in Google Technology. We are an open community where people meet like minded people and share experiences. Our community is open to people in software development, be it developers, designers or just people who are interested. The main focus of the community is Google’s developer technology; everything from Android, App Engine, and Google Chrome platforms, to product APIs like the Maps API, YouTube API and Google Calendar API.
We meet monthly to talk about recent developments in Google technologies. The kind of meetups we do vary from just meeting for beer, to having presentations and hackatons to share practical knowledge.

GDG Zürich is an independent group; our activities and opinions are not related to Google, the corporation.

I’m a coding and technology freak. I finished once my bachelor of engineering in computer science or on german “Dipl. Ing.” and currently I’m mostly coding in Java as main language besides some stuff in C#, HTML, JS, JSF, …
In my day job I work as a Software Engineer in Test and deal with all kind of Software from Native over Web into Mainframe where I use existing tools or write my own testing apps or libraries and the Frameworks around that they can be used in the most efficient way.
